2015-16

Wyong - Tuesday 26 July - CROWN MOSS ridden by Glynn Schofield won her 7th race.  Over 1600m on a soft track she went to the lead but was taken on in front until she drew clear and the jockey was able to give her a breather.  Coming into the straight she was again challenged and headed but had enough in reserve to pull away on the post for a strong win.

Canterbury - Wednesday 22 June - On a soft track over 1100m PRINCESS COMMAND came with a barnstorming run to get up by the barest of margins on the post.  Jason Collett settled near the tail of the field and turning for home was able to push his way to the outside to swoop past the favourite and eventual placegetter.

Newcastle (Beaumont) - Saturday 11 June - PRINCESS ARIA ridden by Serg Lisnyy over 2200m settled at the tail and followed the field before beginning to make up ground before the home turn.  With no room on the inside the jockey elected to hook wide and gathered in the field quickly to win running away by 6.5 lengths.

Bathurst - Tuesday 17 May - First starter WILD AVA (High Chapparal - Single Spice) started a short priced favourite after winning a barrier trial at Rosehill.  Racing very greenly Bobby El-Issa had to work overtime to keep her mind on the job but despite being this she was able to overpower her rivals and win by three quarters of a length.

Gosford - Thursday 12 May -  Over the 1100m PRINCESS COMMAND seemed a forlorn hope when the field turned into the home straight and she was last on the fence but when her rider Jason Collett hooked her out around the field she accelerated quickly passing tiring horses and surged to the lead to win by nearly two lengths.

Kembla Grange - Saturday 16 April - At her 13th start PRINCESS ARIA (Oratorio - Queen Esprit) broke through for her first win in a Class 1 over 2000m.  Jumping from an outside barrier Jeff Penza sat in third last position before commencing a wide run at the 600m and easily rounding up the field  to win by just over a length.

Orange - Friday 8 April - LADY CORLEONE ridden by Bobby El-Issa won her 8th race - a 1600m BM55.  El-Issa had her in fifth and sixth place in the run before making his move before the turn down the outside where she won by just under one length.

Canberra - Sunday 21 February - At her debut run in the Lightning Ridge 1000m for 2 year olds SUPER TOO (Hinchinbrook - Tails Win) ridden by Winona Costin immediately skipped to the lead and although tending to race greenly up the straight she was never headed and won by one length.

Goulburn - Saturday 20 February - DYLAN’S ROMANCE continued his winning ways over 1600m on a soft track at Goulburn.  Apprentice Travis Wolfgram mustered speed from the gates and was able to settle second and third in running.  He had a duel with two horses in the home straight before pulling away from them and holding on to win by a neck from the fast finishing Fluctuations by a neck

Nowra - Monday 11 January 2016 - It was a total surprise when DYLAN’S ROMANCE (Dylan Thomas - Racing Romance) won the 1400m Maiden as his form had been rather poor. Ridden out of the barriers by Jess Taylor, he settled just behind the leaders, making his move into the straight and fighting it out with another runner until Speed Hero came with a strong run, but Dylan’s Romance stuck his neck out and won by the barest possible margin.

Wyong - Thursday 26 November - MAI TAI LADY won her third race in a row.  Ridden by “The Duck” Paul King for his third win on her. He took her straight to the lead, and when challenged at about the 1000m kept her in front, where she hung on to win again by the “proverbial whisker”

Rosehill - Saturday 21 November - FIFTYSHADESOFGREY won her fifth race and third at Rosehill.  Unlucky the previous week she backed up over 1100m and with a masterful ride by James McDonald came with her usual barnstorming run to snatch victory on the line.

Hawkesbury - Friday 20 November - In 40 degree heat STEAMIN’ ridden by Brenton Avdulla was first up at 1400m on a good track.  He sat just beyond midfield and started his run before the home turn, knuckling down to just get up by the barest of margins.

Gundagai - Friday 13 November - It may have been Black Friday and a Heavy 10  track but for MAI TAI LADY ridden by Brendan Ward the sun shone.  Over 1400m she went straight to the lead in a small field and seemed to be going easily until Go Get ‘Em sprouted wings and failed by a lip to win with the decision taking ages to decide.

Goulburn - Saturday 7 November - ARTISTIC BEAUTY (Excellent Art -Ready to Rumba) broke her maiden status with a great win over 1600 metres ridden by apprentice Nick Heywood.  Settling well back in the field she gradually worked her way to the front and win by 1.5 lengths.

Muswellbrook - Sunday 1 November -  Jumping from barrier 3, Paul King had MAI TAI LADY running in second place until the 900 metre mark where he took her to the lead and set a cracking pace which left those following gasping for breath and at the winning post she was 2.5 lengths in front of the second placed horse.

Goulburn - Monday 21 September - OUR METEOR (Northern Meteor - Miss Corona)  ridden patiently by Jason Collett broke through for her maiden win over 1000m.  Sitting quietly at the tail until making his move at the turn, Jason hooked her wide and in the last 200 metres she gobbled up the field pulling away to win by just under two lengths.

2014-15

Canterbury - Wednesday 24 June - From barrier one at the 1200m Brenton Avdulla was able to position TENNESSEE HUSSY in third position on the inside of the favourite.  Rounding the turn the favourite surged to the lead but Avdulla was able to squeeze between runners and come away to win by a half length thus giving him 100 winners for the 2015 season.

Rosehill - Saturday 13 June - After an unlucky second place by FIFTYSHADESOFGREY at Rosehill on Monday carrying 60.5 kg Marc decided to back up with the mare over 1200m in a harder race on Saturday.  Once again ridden by Jason Collett she settled in her usual place at the tail of the field and turning into the straight had a wall of horses in front with seemingly nowhere to go.  Collett hooked her wide and in the process earned a suspension but from once she saw open space she rocketed home to win by a head over Two Blue which looked the winner with 50 metres to go.

Gosford - Thursday 4 June - MANHATTAN MOON (Manhattan Rain - Fullazz) broke her maiden status over 1600 metres as a very short priced favourite.  Brenton Avdulla positioned her in third place and when he asked her to go she dashed to the front and easing up on the line she won by three quarters of a length.  Three races later CATZEL after breaking through for her maiden win at her previous start she drew the outside barrier at the 1000 metres but Jess Taylor was able to get her onto the rails and chasing the leading bunch.  As the field turned for home Jess was able to get off the fence and work to the outside where Catzel was able to sprint quickly and win by half a length.

Randwick - Saturday 23 May - On a very heavy track COYS (Dylan Thomas - She’s Sirius) ridden by Josh Parr raced in about fifth position and made ground on the inside around the turn when most scouted wide to look for bettter going.  Sticking to the inside Coys gradually overhauled the leaders and came away to win by a half length.

Hawkesbury - Thursday 21 May - In an incident packed race where a horse dumped the rider at the barrier  LADY CORLEONE ridden by Jess Taylor allowed the favourite to take the lead.  It in turn was pestered by the riderless horse.  Into the straight it seemed that Lady Corleone would have trouble getting a run but a horse on its inside shifted wide and she was able to get a split and take the lead to hold off the fast finishing second placegetter and win by half a length over 1400 metres.

Kembla Grange - Saturday 16 May - Patience was rewarded when CATZEL (Snitzel - Catflap) broke her maiden status at her 26th start.  Ridden by Jess Taylor who after jumping positioned on the rails but was able to get off the fence at the 800 metres and into the straight came through wide out and went to the lead to hang on and win by a neck.

Gosford - Thursday 14 May - PRINCESS COMMAND was resuming in an 1100m Class 2.  Having drawn a wide barrier Jason Collett took her back to second last and was able to get over to the fence and save ground on the turn.  Into the straight he was able to work out past the leading horses and come away to win by one length.

Hawkesbury - Tuesday 12 May - STEAMIN’ again riddent by Brenton Avdulla showed that his win at Kembla was no fluke when he won a Class 1 over 1400m.  Sitting just behind the leaders he made his run in the straight to win by nearly three lengths.

Gosford - Thursday 7 May  -  PAIGE’N’PARIS had been getting back in her races but Brenton Avdulla jumped well and was able to sit in third and fourth place just behind the leaders.  Rounding the home turn he was able to force his way between the leaders and fought on to win by nearly a length over 1200m on a Soft track.

Kembla Grange - Tuesday 28 April - STEAMIN’ (Lonhro - Lamarr) ridden by Brenton Avdulla broke through for his maiden win over 1400m by two lengths on a very heavy track.

Canterbury - Thursday 23 April - CROWN MOSS grows another leg on a wet track and again ridden by Brenton Avdulla she was able to win convincingly by 1.3 lengths over 1550 m.  Sitting in fourth position she cruised up on the turn and put paid to her rivals with very little effort.

Gosford - Tuesday 14 April - After looking the winner at her previous start, GERBERAS (Swiss Ace - Liliflora) broke through for her maiden win over 1200m on a soft track.  Ridden confidently to the lead by Brenton Avdulla she was never headed and went on to win by two lengths.

Hawkesbury - Tuesday 10 March - CANNY DE ZERO ridden by Jess Taylor drew a wide barrier at the 1100m but even though she was trapped wide was able to sit with cover just behind the leaders.  Sweeping wide into the straight she was able to wear down the leaders and win by about half a length.

Rosehill - Wednesday 25 February - Once again a soft track and a good ride by Brenton Avdulla saw CROWN MOSS break through for her first win in town over 1500m.  Settling in about sixth position on the fence she was able to move up to fourth on the turn and gained a run through in the straight to overhaul the leaders on the post and hold off a late challenge on her outside.

Gosford - Saturday 21 February - PAIGE’N’PARIS (Snippetson - My Czech Chick) ridden by Jess Taylor blitzed the field to win over 1000m at only her fifth start.  Jumping slowly she was at the back of the field till the 400 metre mark when Jess began making her run and in the straight she pushed through an opening and sprouted wings to chase down the leader and get to the front on the post.

Kembla Grange - Saturday 31 January - At her third run from a spell over 1500m, Paul King was able to take MAI TAI LADY straight to the lead and dictate the speed of the race.  Still leading into the straight she was challenged and almost headed but fought back valiantly to withstand a late charge from the runner-up to win by one length.

Hawkesbury - Thursday 29 January - A soft track and a good ride by Brenton Avdulla saw CROWN MOSS romp home by three lengths over the 1600m.  After jumping well Brenton had her running just behind the leaders in third place before hooking out before the turn, taking the lead and from then on the race was over.

Wyong - Friday 2 January 2015 - LADY CORLEONE ridden by Jess Taylor became our first winner for 2015 when she once again showed her liking for Wyong.  Jumping from an outside barrier at the 1600m Jess was able to cross and take up a position outside and putting pressure on the leader.  Rounding the home turn she raced to the lead and withstood all challenges.

Wyong - Thursday 18 December 2014 - At 1600m LADY CORLEONE gave Winona Costin her first winner back after a working trip to the USA.  Showing early speed she went to the lead but after being taken on was content to sit just behind the leader.  Nearing the home turn she hooked around the tiring leader, took the lead  and was able to hold off those chasing her.

Kembla - Saturday 13 December -  STEPTORIO ridden by Paul King jumped from a wide barrier but rather than be caught wide he eased her to be running about sixth and one out.  As the field turned the home turn on the heavy track and many scouted wide he was able to find a gap through to fight it out and take the lead just before the post.

Rosehill - Friday 12 December - A masterful ride from Jason Collett over 1100m helped FIFTYSHADESOFGREY notch her third and first metropolitan win.  From a wide barrier Jason settled at the tail of the field and with the pace on up front was able to gain a run on the inside and cut the corner.  He pulled around the leaders in the straight and put paid to them to win by a length.

Gosford - Thursday 4 December - MIKIMIA (Arena - My Czech Chick) broke through for her maiden win over 2100m ridden by Jess Taylor.  In a field of only four runners she sat at the tail of the field until the 600 metres where Jess took her to the lead.  Obviously relishing the sof track she was able to pull away and win by 2.5 lengths.

Bathurst - Friday 31 October - Jess Taylor was quickly out of the barriers on TENNESSEE HUSSY (Husson - Tennessee Red) before settling in third behind the leader.  As the field turned into the straight and fanned wide Jess took the inside run and quickly took the lead to pull away and win by 3.5 lengths over 1200m

Canberra - Friday 10 October - Everything fell into place for CHANTILLY FLYER today over 2000m.  Jeff Penza was able to bring her over from a wide gate and push in to be one off the fence in fourth position.  He pulled out before the turn and took her to the lead and she was able to kick on and ward off the charging placegetters to win by half a length.

Bathurst - Friday 19 September - CANNY DE ZERO ridden by Jake Pracey-Holmes (after a fall in an earlier race) was able to gain the lead early and fight off all challengers to win by a nose from the fast finishing second placegetter over 1100m first up.

Gosford - Thursday 14 August - MAGNOLIA LANE ridden quietly by James Macdonald came from last before the turn to grab the lead in the shadows of the post over 1600m on a dead track
